It had something to do with a "water gate," but the dam on our local creek was working just fine... after it all was over, my grandfather said that in his experience as an attorney, Nixon simply had to go to jail, or we'd have more trouble like this in future. My grandfather didn't live to see Iran-Contra or this, but he was completely correct. Trump needs to serve many years, preferably the full 20, so that future Oval Office occupants actually think twice before committing felonies.
