We can all agree that Liz Cheney is a master storyteller. We know her politics, we know her father is Darth Vader, but, damn, the GOP should have taken her seriously and seen that she was indeed a match for Trump. Just look at the way she ended today's Jan 6 hearing. She made sure the press would not miss, to use the words of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, "the next episode." CNN: 

'After our last hearing, President Trump tried to call a witness in our investigation, a witness you have not yet seen in these hearings,' the Wyoming Republican said at the conclusion of the hearing, which focused on ties between Trump and extremist groups that stormed the US Capitol. 'That person declined to answer or respond to President Trump's call, and instead alerted their lawyer to the call. Their lawyer alerted us. And this committee has supplied that information to the Department of Justice.'

And that's what all the papers are talking about. Someone in the GOP needs to go to her, and beg her and apologize for her losing the position of the "third-highest-ranking Republican" because she believed Jan 6 was totally nuts. Also, Dems need to worry because, as a president, she would be no different to Trump on policy. And she is hawk, but she would have about her the armor of a defender of democracy. She is burying Trump, not the Dems.

Many Americans are still in a state of disbelief about what happened at Robb Elementary in Uvalde. The cops were actually in the school. They had guns. They knew the kids were being shot in the classroom. But the fear of death (the absolute master, according to Hegel) prevented them from taking action. CNN:

But apparently that is enough to begin the shift from a mode of transportation dependent on fossil fuels to one dependent on electricity. By the way, Norway, a major oil producer, had new EVs claiming 83% of the market in 2013.
