The tidal-wave-of-cash pic is an in-house creation? I'm skeptical.

There is no larger special interest group than the unions. This has been proven time and time again. What better way of influencing the people than to say I will fight for increased wages in the public sector? It has been no shock that this will always influence elections. Imagine if the private sector could donate money to a CEO that wants to increase salaries?

What is crazy is the little guy that actually thinks this is about them, and not the jobs above them. The Kent school superintendent makes nearly $600,000 a year. That is a little above the average teacher salary. There are hundreds of school employees making $150K a year to the tune of millions of dollars. But we only fight for teachers salaries.

Washington.gov website lists 7,500 employees making more than $100,000 a year. All combined for nearly a billion in salaries listed in 2014. So when we have politicians fighting for the little guy it is just their political spin while we keep feeding the beast.

hello. of course this past election. was the highest amount of independent spending. we have never before had EVERY CITY COUNCIL SEAT up for election at the same time. A more relevant number would be spending per contested race. what is that?
