"Making Seattle number one among the 50 largest cities for per-capita contributions to Bernie Sanders"

Right, the Stranger is out of touch with its readership.

But will Inslee have the guts to veto the notably bad charter schools (lavishly externally funded) maneuvering? Chopp didn't have the cajones to not put it to the vote.

Next time get me to present the Blabbermouth Sanders position.

The one last week was painful.

On the Legislature: time for them to do their jobs and fully fund Education: there are no rewards for their inaction and excuses.

Don't expect this to phase republicans. This is the party that would let society fall into anarchy before succumbing to compromise. Either democrats will cave or we'll go without a budget. Politics are fun.

@4, Our kamikaze legislature should be in prison, since they're a clear and present danger to themselves and others.

Car sharing is a scam. So you gave up your car. Where did it go? Someone bought it and put it on the road. Giving up your car to car share is like brushing the dirt under the carpet. Look I am clean now!
Your car is back on the road and so are you. All the car sharing companies have placed thousands of cars on the road to encourage people that never drove to drive. So what if it is a small car taking up less room. That is just spin. It is a car on the road that never used to be there.
Many people used transit but now can use a car. Many people used to shop local but now can drive to a large discount box store to shop.
How can anyone think that all the car companies that put thousands of cars on the road so that people that never used to drive can now dive is green. Or taking cars off the road because "they are small" is a good reason. It is all spin to make "green thinking people" feel good.
Many car to go type companies also have trucks and normal sized cars all because people want to use them and never had the option to. Now they do. Now there are thousands of cars and people on the road that NEVER used to be. It is not GREEN or good at all. It is a scam.

correction: "Or placing cars on the road because they are small is good!

@6 is dead on, but doesn't go far enough. Do you own your own airplane? "Of course not," you say? Are you sure about that? You fly, don't you? Well, the airplane you fly on doesn't not exist just because your name isn't on the title. There it is — right there, in the air! Or maybe in a hangar, or at the bottom of the Indian Ocean. The point is, that airplane is a thing in the world that exists because of YOU! You might as well just go buy one of your very own right now. But you won't. You'll just continue being a smug, deluded "green thinker." How you live with yourself I can't even imagine.

@6: If you think people are using Car2Go to "drive to a large discount box store to shop", you don't really understand how the system works.
10
@4 To have people named Republicans destroy government in order to prove that it doesn't work is a cruel twist of history.

@9 I don't know how common it is but I used "car sharing" for shopping when I ditched my car.
11
@10: At big box discount stores? With a Car2Go?

One car-sharing car takes approximately 54 cars off the road

@11 I used to do Costco occasionally and weekly grocery shopping with Zipcar. It was a little pricey but cheaper than owning a car and easier than taking transit with grocery bags. If I recall, turn around time was critical to stay under the cost of renting a car for the day.

@13: Zipcar is a different model than Car2Go.
