Dont throw away your shot to see Hamilton live in Seattle.
Don't throw away your shot to see Hamilton live in Seattle. Joan Marcus

Don't flee to California just to catch the west coast tour of Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda's rap musical based on the life of treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton that has spurred an unstoppable national obsession. It has just been announced that The Paramount Theatre will host the national tour of Hamilton as part of their 2017-2018 season, a production from producer Jeffrey Seller and the KeyBank Broadway at the Paramount series, presented by Seattle Theatre Group.

Specific dates for the Seattle run are TBA. The scramble for tickets will probably involve lots of underhanded tactics, counterfeiting, and maybe some old-school dueling, but if you don't want to throw away your shot, you can purchase a season pass for Broadway at the Paramount in 2016-2017. Then, when you renew for the following year, you can guarantee your tickets for Hamilton before the general public gets to buy tickets. (A 2016-2017 season pass will put you out anywhere from $189 to $594, depending on seats and showtimes.)

If you snatch up a season pass, you can look forward to the following Broadway favorites at the Paramount in 2016 and 2017: the jukebox hit Beautiful: The Carole King Musical; the musical Finding Neverland, about the life and work of playwright J.M. Barrie; the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic The King and I; the new Tony Award-winning adaptation of An American in Paris; and the beloved, raunchy, searing, and unforgettable Cabaret.
