@1 - I remember a reporter asking her about her gay son not long after that --- something along the lines of "Do you have anything to say about your gay son coming out of the closet?" She basically replied that she wasn't going to respond to dirt-digging and personal attacks.

It isn't just whackadoodles like Schlafly and Tony Perkins. We can also thank the big gay HRC for endorsing republican Mark Kirk over 100% rated Tammy Duckworth. Sure, Kirk is slightly less awful than the typical republican, but wtf, HRC? Especially when there is a staunch ally and respected member of congress as a glaringly better alternative. And lest you think Kirk really isn't all that bad, he's one of the few sitting senators that have already endorsed Trump.

Thanks for sucking up to the republicans, HRC. You dumb fucks.

@4, sorry. HRC (in this case) = Human Rights Campaign, a supposedly LGBT lobbying organization. Not Hillary Clinton. HRC occasionally likes to pretend to be unaffiliated with any party by trying to find a moderate republican to endorse/support every now and then. It usually backfires terribly whenever they do that. Case in point, see @3.
