I'm curious how our new council, which by most benchmarks is fairly progressive, hasn't gotten on board with this?
2
Anyone know what 1¢ / hour adds up to?

@3: Assuming you have 24 employees each working 8 hour days, 40 days per week, 52 weeks per year, you would pay $3993.60 annually.

(((.01*8)*24)*40)*52 = 3993.6

I chose 24 employees because, per the Affordable Care Act, businesses of 25 employees or more must offer healthcare.

Er.. @2. Whoops.

@2, 3, 4: 40 hours per week. So many errors. Sorry, first time posting.

Thanks, but I was looking in the direction of how much total budget $ will this direct towards enforcement/education. Total affected workers is the number I don't have a guess on.

@6 The unions say it would generate $5 to 6 million a year (https://www.thestranger.com/blogs/slog/2…). The city was supposed to do its own assessment of this too. I'm still trying to track that down.

Please wait...
