"I'm sure his life experience far better than mine on this!"
Noah may not personally know that particular kind of gender discrimination, but he certainly knows what discrimination smells like. As a mixed-race South African, who was not allowed to be seen outside with his own mother during Apartheid, he's likely been highly sensitized to a whole range of discriminatory bullshit.
If she was interested in reporting the truth, she wouldn't be working for Faux News! She's doing the job Fox hired her to do. Truth is not part of their offerings.
The sad thing is that this argument of "ALL X PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT X ISSUES, AND NO NON-X PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE AN OPINION" is actually what's advanced by a lot of SJW types. (Not people actually fighting to advance social justice; I'm talking about SJWs, also known as skeletons.)
Haha, so now men explaining female gender issues to women is fine? Kelly uses the same line of argument that I have seen on Slog over and over to demonize exactly what Noah Trevor was doing, but this one time, NOPE!
The mental gymnastics on display here are 9/10 at least.
I never needed a reminder that Kelly is a piece of shit. She, and eventually Fiorina, and all their ilk will back Trump for president if he's the candidate.
I said months ago that Fox would come around to back Trump as the Republican nominee. Fox's power (and that of its hosts, like Megan Kelly) comes from claiming the mantle as the conservative media outlet. It promises viewers that the most important Republican and conservative political figures will appear on air, and lures those same people with the promise of drawing the largest audience of Republicans and conservatives. In this way, Fox had great sway over political figures who could be shut out for expressing unorthodox views.
Trump obviously circumvented that through Twitter and his personal celebrity. So Fox (and on-air talent, like Megan Kelly) had to shift gears, lest the mass of Trump supporters tune out and reject the network (or their individual programs), which would impact its bottom line (or their personal standing), which in the end is more important to the network or these hosts than any particular political viewpoint or personal grievance.
Megyn Kelly is a terrific attorney and journalist. She was able to make the story about Trump and not about her. It wasn't "kiss ass". What did you expect, here to go off on a tirade on him?
She also endured death threats against her and her family.
It seems you all forget what the job of a reporter is. It's not to admonish the subject for his or her politics. It's to get them to talk as much as possible, about things they don't want to talk about. It's not about the reporter.
In addition, the sooner HRC does goes on Bill O'Reilly's "The Factor" the better her chances will be in November.
Her overlords at FOX, who have repeatedly proven that they control all conversations and thought that takes place on air (and take their cues from the RNC), have decided they have to hold their noses and embrace Trump, because tribalism > patriotism. Kelly is just towing the line, and maybe trying to pivot to a more long-term feud that she can flog for ratings.
It's been a few days but I don't think the bit had anything to do with gender. He made fun of how it was billed like a heavyweight title fight but turned out to be a puff piece.
@18: Such as it is over at FOX. The yearly "War on Christmas" stories they blow out of proportion are always from boring First Amendment cases, but if you ask FOX, Christians are boarding up their homes to defend against the atheists' roaming lynch mobs.

Watch it. Jon Stewart still the best.

Should have let Samantha Bee do it. Is there no female on screen talent at The Daily Show anymore?
