Basic Bircher Bullshit

@1

Count me on board with "Basic Bircher."

Pity nobody under 40 will know what I'm talking about, but it's still great.
3
What is a "complete street," and why does it require quotation marks?
4
This is all from The Onion, right? No way a major political party could be so batshit insane.
5
@4:

The WA GOP has in fact been batshite insane since at least the Ellen Craswell era of 20 years ago.
6
The Overton window has been steadily moving to the authoritarian right since the 80s: on a great many issues, the Democratic Party is now is where the Reagan Republicans once stood.
7
"Sanction employes who knowingly hire illegal aliens;"
Wow, so they want to hamstring farmers and raise the price of food now? Surprising.

"Climate change" alarmism [...] results in:
• A serious decline of liberty.

Would they be so kind as to document this "serious decline" in "liberty"? Because the dots, they are not connected from where I can see.

I love that they get to simply state anything they want, without providing any sort of real proof or reference material.
That which is asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.
...a useful concept that needs to be more widely known.

So, they want to force municipal governments to enforce federal law? Whatever happened to states' rights? And federalism in general? And separation of powers?
10
@7:

I presume by "a serious decline of liberty" they mean, "a diminishing of our God-given right to do whatever the fuck we want, consequences be damned."
11
I assume all (sic)? Because someone needs a proofreader, either Sydney or the WAGOP.
12
I wonder what gender the GOP thinks women with androgen insensitivity syndrome are?
13
unalienable right of human life, from conception to natural death from starvation and disease as preschoolers
14
"Public funding should not be used for any act, individual, or institution which violates the right to life of the innocent."

Actually when does original sin kick in? Is it during birth? Seems like this is a loophole they might not have meant to have left. SnoCo soccer moms might have snuck this one in.
15
Did they post what their views on the death penalty are? Or is that 'natural death?'
16
Many leading conservatives are supporters of light rail. Look up Paul Weyrich.
17
It's funny. 10 years ago, the Stranger said light was a bad idea too!
19
And HOW is the GOP planning to pay for stalking women, harassing workers, and posting guards at every toilet to check birth certificates? Clearly their bigotry has eaten the few brain cells they had, and turned them into creepy drooling cretins!

@17: You mean around the time they were fiercely advocating for an extended monorail system (something that didn't operate at surface level)? Can you provide a citation for that?

@18: It's fortunate for you that you make enough money to be an early adopter of . . . whatever these "pods" are, but most of us don't. I guess you'll have to take solace in being better than the rest of us plebeians, and lowering the cost for the rest of us to be able to buy in.
21
Derp.
22
@20: Dude, you aren't saving up for your pod?

That's just irresponsible.
