So he party's like Bill Clinton... Bubba established that's not a problem in the Whitehouse.
2
Bill Clinton was also an alleged rapist. He was actually president.

Allegations aren't proofs. This isn't much of story.
3
I guess the real question is, should her accusation be given more or less credibility than the several women over many years who have made accusations against Bill Clinton and been horribly vilified and slut shamed by Hillary Clinton for having done so?
4
I'm really hoping all of this is false, for so many reasons.
5
jeez, i hate trump as much as the next person with a functioning brain, but can't you see your obvious bias? you so badly want this to be true that you'll completely ignore the fact that this could very well be bullshit. just like the claims against bill clinton.
7
In the world of SJW's an accusation of rape is just as credible as a conviction!
8
@6 Apparently you either needed oodles of cash or to be a teenage female model to get invited.

So now the Presidential campaign is descending into dueling rape accusations. Churchill notwithstanding, I think 2016 might actually be turning me into a monarchist. At least the Queen has some sense of decorum.

Anyone know of any good spots for founding a hermitage?
9
First, this is a lawsuit, not a criminal complaint. Second, the case has already been dismissed by a Federal Court Judge. I highly doubt filing it a different Federal District is going to make much sense or get a different result.. Cases like this that get dismissed in the preliminary stages like this pretty much lack merit.

Yes it is disgusting allegations, but there is nothing here. The case will likely be dismissed.

10
It is really a shame that something like this has come into a presidential election. I wonder what Hillary will have to say about it. Something this serious can't be ignored.
11
I wish reporters would report on legal developments with some awareness of what they mean. As @9 says, the evidence so far is that this is a weak case from the legal system's point of view.

Which doesn't mean it's false; Ivana already said he's a rapist, credibly.
12
As @9 said, one court's dismissal doesn't make it likely that another court will see merit in it.
14
@9: Word.
15
I just came here to make the same Bill Clinton comment...

I mean, don't get me wrong, I think Trump is a piece of shit, but there WERE rape allegations against Bill.
16
@13 well, he /was/ making creepy sexual comments about his daughter when she was still a minor, so even that's not really news
17
@1: your shit grammar makes your hard on for Bill funny to me.
18
Ditto to pretty much everything above.

I hate Cheeto Chump, don't get me wrong. But really.
19
@17, right?

We finally know who's been making all those signs at Tea Party rallies.
20
Trump is a worthless shitbag, but literally anyone can be an "alleged rapist". Relax.
21
@1, @2, You seem to not understand the definition of rape. You see if it is consensual, it is not rape.
22
@3 Citation needed.
23
1) Lawsuit was dismissed in LA, refiled Manhattan, could have been a jurisdiction problem before, no?

2) "There is absolutely no merit to these allegations"
From Merriam-Webster

Merit: a good quality or feature that deserves to be praised
: the quality of being good, important, or useful : value or worth.

Truth: the real facts.

3) We know shit about this case except for what is reported here. Why are so many people jumping on to say she's lying? She could be lying, or Trump could be lying. WE.DON'T.KNOW!

Do try to check your reflexive misogyny!
24
"The numerous rape allegations against Bill Clinton by multiple women are obviously false, and simply a vast right wing conspiracy. But this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Trump is a pedophile rapist."

@22: Come on now, that is common knowledge. But I will indulge your purposeful ignorance:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/21/us/pol…

Hillary called the women trailer park trash, "bimbo eruptions," and said in clear terms they were just trying to cash in.

But I know, her last name is Clinton, so you won't care.
25
If she's lying:
3) Why drag another into this lawsuit? Who is this Epstein dude? Isn't it courting more problems for her, trying to prove both men AND herself were at the place where she alleges she was raped?

4) What has this to do with Clinton? Are you guys saying because Clinton might have raped women while he was Governor of Arkansas, it's okay for other men/women/politicians/wealthy creepers to rape children?

4) The way women are treated in this country when they report rapes is a national SHAME! "What was she wearing?" "Why did she go to this place/house/hotel room/walked down the bloody street/waited for buses/went running/played sports/drank/ate/smoked weed/hoped for a job.......with these men?" "Children ARE sexual, and they lead us poor, poor HELPLESS men on." "It's THEIR FAULT they were raped!" "Are we going to destroy these (insert appropriate victims, er, defendants here) young men with glorious futures/middle aged men with wife and children/old rich men/priests/rabbi/imam/husbands/cops/prison guards/photographers for the Stars/musicians/directors/much-loved celebrity/winning coaches/congressman/lawyers/CEOs........?"

@9 What's the statute of limitations for rape of a child in New York?

28
In a story about a minor girl alleging rape against a Presidential candidate, for the majority of the comments to be about a 3rd party (President Clinton 42), seems to be a major politicization of the victim.

I reserve judgement as to who the victim is in this story. The girl was either raped making her the victim, or the story is false making Mr. Trump the victim of false allegations. Just because the LA Court dismissed the case doesn't make the allegations false, nor will a decision in her favor necessarily make the allegations true.

It's a shame that partisan political hacks that slither throughout the blogosphere are more concerned with scoring political points against "the other side" than with the welfare of minors.
29
@23 "Truth: the real facts.

"3) We know shit about this case except for what is reported here. Why are so many people jumping on to say she's lying? She could be lying, or Trump could be lying. WE.DON'T.KNOW!

A Federal Judge dismissed the lawsuit in the preliminary stages, which is the equivalent of "Stop Wasting the Court's time". Refiling the lawsuit in a different district, and just getting rid of the alleged statement of "Jew Bastard" and that Trump threw money on the plaintiff to get an abortion isn't going to change the decision of the case..

Basic things before proceeding. Did the Plaintiff have any proof, photos, receipts, eyewitness accounts of actually meeting convicted statutory rapist Jeffrey Epstein? Any evidence she met Donald Trump?

There is this from the NY Daily News Article...

"She says that since Trump launched his campaign and received mass media coverage, she has been “subjected to daily painful reminders of the horrific acts.”

When has Donald J. Trump has not had massive media coverage? Shit he had a prime time TV show? "

"Katie Johnson" has accused Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein of holding her as an imprisoned sex slave for four months when she was 13. Okay so there are no witnesses? no evidence, oh btw she wants $100 million..

It is frivolous and lacks merit to proceed to a proceed to a preliminary hearing. It got dismissed because it lacked merit..

I am very well aware about how only 1 in 3 sexual abuse and sexual assault cases are reported to law enforcement. I am very well aware we live in a misogynist society, where women get about 79 cent to the dollar of what men earned. However, people have an equal opportunity to post frivolous lawsuits. It is a big sign that it is absurd when a Federal Judge dismisses it from just reading it..

"Do try to check your reflexive misogyny!"

Try Critical Thinking first, before going to slogans..
30
Where are these companies that hire a man and a woman for the same position and then pay the woman 79% of her male counterpart? That stat is thrown out all the time but why don't we have a list of companies that are doing exactly that?
31
@30: That number has been debunked so many damn times, but it has become a sacred cow for the left, they will repeat the lie over and over, while gleefully calling out other people who use fake stats.

Here are some links:
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/…

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/christina-…

I am not saying that women do not have unique and sexist crap to deal with in the workplace, but the infamous "79%" is complete statistic-massaging bullshit.
32
@23 "1) Lawsuit was dismissed in LA, refiled Manhattan, could have been a jurisdiction problem before, no?"

No. It was dismissed because the plaintiff stated she didn't have the money for the fee to file the lawsuit in Federal Court and demanded an allowance as a civil rights matter to waive the filing fee. The Judge refused, because on the waiver, the plaintiff didn't explain how her civil rights were violated by having the fee waive. The address and phone number on the lawsuit were either foreclosed in the Twentynine Palms area, or go to voicemail..

http://radaronline.com/celebrity-news/do…

In the original lawsuit, the plaintiff asked for $100 million, now the lawsuit filed in Federal District in Manhattan, she is asking for $75k..

Whatever.
34
So, the claim is that Trump and another fellow had ritual gangbangs with a 14-year old (and, implicitly, many other underage girls)? To borrow a phrase from sports, this is a STRONG TAKE.
35
@22
Bill Clinton has been publicly accused by several women of sexual misconduct. Juanita Broaddrick has accused Clinton of rape; Kathleen Willey has accused Clinton of groping her without consent; and Paula Jones accuses Clinton of sexually harassing her. Of course Monica Lewinsky did consent to Bubba penetrating her with a cigar in the Oval Office, and was just slut shamed and attacked by Hillary for doing so, so I'm not listing her.
36
Oh... And BTW. Guess who else likes to party with Jeffery Epstein?: Former President Bill Clinton took a romantic jaunt in 2002 to convicted pedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein’s “orgy island” with “two young girls” from New York.
http://pagesix.com/2015/01/24/sex-slave-…
37
Wonder if Bill and Donald passed the same under aged girls back and forth between them...
38
Just another liberal diversion. Anyone can make an accusation without any evidence and the sheep will believe.
39
Trump was a major financier of Hillary's previous presidential runs. Communists have short attention and memory spans, so they forget. Besides, research has been replaced by manufactured consensus opinion. It's breathless and emotionally deeply satisfying to follow the manufactured majority opinion. That's all the matters anymore.
40
@38: This liberal would love nothing more than to keep focused on Trump's complete inability to serve as President, based on his nonsensical or nonexistent policies and statements. If Hillary needed an example of how horrible he acts toward women to use in order to sway voters, there's already a mountain of video that she can reference.
41
@36: When the only supporting link you have is to pagesix.com...
42
People get excited about rape allegations against someone whose politics they hate. That's gross. That everyone is so eager to believe these accusations against Trump while dismissing those against Bill Clinton is just another example of how fucked up we can be in dealing with this issue.
43
@25 - Who is this Epstein dude?

He's a very rich man who was convicted of hiring an underage prostitute and was accused of far worse. He has lots of rich and famous friends. His victims, and/or people who claim to be his victims but are not, have a long history of accusing him and his rich and powerful friends of raping them. A partial list of people who have been accused of raping underage girls with the help and support of Epstein now includes Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Alan Dershowitz, and Prince Andrew. Not to mention unnamed presidents, prime ministers, and other politicians. He is, depending on who you believe, a man who either presided over the rape of dozens of young girls by some of the most powerful men in the world, or a child rapist who happened to have many rich and powerful friends due to his wealth and his willingness to share it.
44
@21- You seem to be thinking I'm talking about Monica Lewinski. While that was a consensual relationship (between a low level employee and her extremely high level boss, which is totally inappropriate but definitely not rape), those are not the allegations I'm thinking of.

Something being alleged in a lawsuit is not really newsworthy. There is going to be nothing here but a "he said, she said." Trump's supporters will claim their man is being slandered and they're victims, MRAs will jump on board crowing about how false rape accusations are more common than actual rape or some other bullshit, and nothing good will come of this. Getting justice for sex crimes is incredibly hard. Publicizing weak claims against famous people might actually hurt the cause. It is a shame The Stranger ran a blog post on the topic.
45
The case originally filed in California pro per, was dismissed because the paperwork was incorrect. Media reporting attracted the attention of a lawyer who has now file the case in New York Federal Court. The reason for the jurisdiction is that the accusations of rape of underage girls by Trump and Epstein are stated to have taken place at Epsteins' NY residence and both Defendants are domiciled there now. This filing also includes Exhibit B, a witness statement. It may come to nothing, but people have the right to file a complaint and if there is truth to the accusations, other young girls were also victims and they may now have the courage to come forward. As Epstein was previously convicted of sexual assault involving under age girls and a woman employed by Trump at his Mar a Lago residence was one of his victims, it is not too much of a stretch to believe this. But a judge will decide if there is a case to be answered.
46
@45 "The case originally filed in California pro per, was dismissed because the paperwork was incorrect.

No, actually the paperwork was correct and well put together. The plaintiff did not want to pay the filing fees because alleged she had $300 to her name. Mainly it appeared so she won't reveal her identity, or who was paying for it,

She wanted filed forms for forma paupers to waive the couple hundred dollars filing fees. One can only waive lawsuits filing fees in Federal Court only for Civil Rights violations.. She is asking for cold hard cash.. ($100 million in CA, $75k in New York) the paperwork and the lawsuits is actually pretty well put together. the reason for dismissal was the reasoning of forma paupers papers.

The Plaintiff gave an address to an foreclosed home in the court filing when the lawsuit was filed in CA. The Case was pretty much dismissed right after it was file, which is the equivalent of stop wasting the Court's time.. It is going to come to nothing, no matter if Epstein is a monster, and Trump could be a bigger monster if he wins the White House..

My advice to 13 year olds who get raped is to wait 22 years to see whether your rapist runs for President, then really let him have it. This story is a crock of shit. Let's look back to 2012. Remember all the allegations against Herman Cain? Remember the feigned righteous indignation from Gloria Allred? What ever happened to those law suits? NOTHING happened. And we all know why. They were false charges made in the heat of a political campaign, intended to have the effect they had: bury a candidate with lawsuits to drive him from the race. It's a tactic called LAWFARE. Warfare using the law.

Use your heads, people. If a woman was raped 22 years ago, wouldn't we have heard about it BEFORE Trump was in the race? This is Democrat Party politics at its worst.

Please wait...
