Actually, the outage extended to North Beacon Hill, as far south as McClellan in areas. My house lost power, and it *never* loses power. I was distraught.
Fear not, Emma and Ana. I was actually at work when it happened, and it was was back on in about thirty minutes. The only ones who had to cope at Chez Vel-DuRay were the livestock, and they don't care. They were probably relieved, for it gave them a reprieve from AM talk radio (which we leave on for them when we're not home, otherwise, they bark at any noise).
Now that downtown outage a few weeks back? That was sort of creepy, as the downtown area is designed to never lose power. When I looked out the window and saw that it wasn't just our building, I was nonplussed.
@2 Oh no! Is your power back on?
