On Saturday, all of Georgetown will be blocked off for the twentieth annual Dead Baby Downhill, Seattle's punk-colored Mad Max bike race.

This year, the ride will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Uncle Ike's/Neighbor Lady before making its weird and wind-y way to Georgetown. About 3,000 people typically show up to this thing, so you'll want to get to the CD at least an hour early to register.

Some pretty fun-forward activities await you at Dead Baby Downhill, including the possibility of riding around on one of these things:

You can also nosh on barbecue, drink from one of the nearly 100 kegs of beer, and watch bikers swirl around a mini Velodrome. Be sure to stay for the crown jewel event: BIKE JOUSTING. What does bike jousting look like? Like this, but harder:

OH YEAH. And Seattle glitterati Gazebos will play their very fine rock music, as will Sashay, Coke Nails, and several others. Jackie Hell will do some kind of hilariously unhinged act that you won't want to miss.
