Today in new lows... At a rally in Wilmington, NC, Donald Trump employed his characteristic verbal wizardry to float the idea that the only solution to Hillary Clinton having the power to appoint judges (by being elected) can be found in the Second Amendment.

I'm no legal scholar, but to fight the charge that he just actively encouraged his supporters to shoot and kill his opponent, Trump may have to turn to something slightly more sophisticated than the "I'm not touching you" defense. See his response below:

In response to the widespread outrage about this comment, Jason Miller, Trump's Senior Communications Advisor (that'll look good on a resume in three months), issued the following, typically garbled, tripping-over-its-own-shoelaces-while-backpedaling-like-a-cowardly-vermin statement:
