@1 I live for talking to a brick wall, so here you go. A primary function of a police force is to protect the status quo. In the United States, the status quo is a systemic and institutionalized white supremacy. Public funding ought to be used to dismantle that system ( you know, because "All men are created equal..." and what not) rather than to further militarize and protect it.
