The only Gawker site I ever kept up with was Kotaku, their video games blog (pertinent to my job), decline sharply in the last few years as well. Their rush to be "edgy" and first to print new stories has resulted in the burning of a few important bridges. Obviously my relationship with them is a far cry from yours, but I will shed no tears for the end of Gawker. In my opinion, journalism will be better off - and more respectable - without them.
