Classy is as classy does. She was the classic "I've got mine" conservative, using her wealth and education to argue that other women shouldn't have the same opportunities she had.

The irony of her life was that, whatever she may have said about feminism, she, herself, lived a feminist life. Educated, a lawyer, an activist, a politician, an author, not to mention wife and mother of six. Change her politics and she would have been an icon.

@30 - I'm pretty sure she had a cook do that for her. Her whole career, a thing itself that she wanted to deny all other women, was based on paying people to do the things she told other women they should stay home and do. It seems like justice to know that the wheel of karma is going to be operating in her disfavor. Perhaps if she's really lucky she'll come back as a Filipina maid in Dubai. Or a Dalit widow in New Delhi.

Nice to see 2016 being more fair and balanced. It took David Bowie and Alan Rickman from us, but also Antonin Scalia and Phyllis Schlafly. In order to balance the losses of Prince and Lemmy, I can think of a few more right wing assholes who have overstayed their welcome.
