Will SPOG be as whiny as the police unions in the 49ers region.
2
Pete Carroll should have been protesting the anthem all along, considering how he believes Bush did 9/11.

If these guys really want to make a difference, they should boycott the games. Imagine an entire NFL season/revenues lost due to protests against police actions. That may actually motivate people to do something rather than just bloviate online.
3
@2 this is nothing more than SJW Theater, it''l be over by mid-season. Remember the "Hands Up" bullshit awhile back?
4
@ bloviate, you mean, just like people like you?
5
@4: And you, and everyone else who kills time throughout the day by commenting online. You don't think online comment threads are anything but that, do you?

Do try to keep up. You aren't doing "work" here, you know. But hey, sick burn though. That is probably worth at least 2 Internet Points. Put it on your scoreboard.

Have the NFL clowns who did "Hands Up blah blah" been censored?
Or fined?

"Hands Up…" was a Lie, a Racist Fabrication slandering a police officer honorably performing his duty at great risk to his personal safety.
If you doubt us please consult Eric Holder and the Obama Dept of InJustice.

So, have the NFL player clowns who slandered this police officer been punished?

Perhaps Seahawk players will protest that embarrassing stain on the reputation of the league.

"Kaepernick has been adamant that he wouldn't stand for the national anthem because people of color are being oppressed by police."

Is Kaepersnick concerned that African-Americans are being oppressed, targeted and slaughtered by black gang members in the cities of America?
Does he care that African-Americans are 4.6X as likely to be murdered as Whites?
Does that gross disparity concern him?
Will he lift one pinky to protest the ongoing slaughter of people of color?
8
At time like these we need Ron Smith to chime in. That Stuckey guy is a bore.
9
The number of people of color oppressed by police is infinitesimally small compared to the number protected, saved and served by police.
Kaepersnit is a clueless ingrate.
12
The whole stadium should remain seated. There is zero public accountability for SPD.
13
@5, yeah but even in bloviating there are hierarchies.
And the bottom feeders like you are the "tough" internet fuckwits who bray anytime a person of colour does not stay on his/her lane. So yeah, points to me for wasting time arguing with the dimwitted amoebas like you.
14
@9 an ingrate?
Nobody has to be thankful for what the police do, even if one assumes they are saints.
You must be way too dim to understand that it is their fucking job what they do. If they do not like it, they can GTFO.

@10 - the first amendment only applies to governments. The NFL is a private organization and it can suppress whatever speech it wants from its members. Should the NFL have fined them or censored them in some way? Should they have stood up for brave (insert whoever you want here) and come down hard on them or should they have honored their players right to speak their minds?

meh...I just don't care. I don't have the spoons. If the Seachickens win another Stupor Bowl, they can sit out every single National Anthem until they win or they all succumb to their concussions.

@10
Slander is not protected, and private companies routinely supervise the public expressions of their employees.
When the Minnesota Vikings suspended Special Teams Coordinator Mike Priefer three games without pay for making homophobic remarks in the locker room you condemned them loudly for denying him his first amendment rights; right?.
Right?

@11
Not 'some'; the overwhelming majority of police officers are honorable, and those who kill without justification are dealt with by the criminal justice system. No one looks away. If you dislike the outcome of those proceedings perhaps you could organize a lynch mob…
btw you obviously have no idea what racist means. Perhaps English is not your native tongue. Perhaps Amazon might have an English-Stupid dictionary? Have you looked?

@14
Actually, a decent person would be very grateful to the police for the incredibly dangerous service they render. No one has to be a police officer, you owe them your gratitude. You malignant piece of shit.
17
@11
btw, we've been trying to come up with a list of blacks murdered by police, a number, to get a handle on the magnitude of the problem. So far there are two names. Any help? You seem to feel you are an authority on the subject.
18
@8 - Ha! Good one. Smith was always good for a laugh and a big old foot in his mouth!

Interesting article.

It cites no one murdered (in cold blood as our friend GermanSausage repeatedly brays…) by police.

It notes that black men are shot by police at rates higher than other races.
It fails to note (trusty Leftist rag, The Guardian…) that the rate at which they are shot corresponds to the greater rate at which they commit MURDER and other Violent Crimes.

from the article:
"Data collected by the Guardian this year highlighted the wide range of situations encountered by police officers across the US. Of the 1,134 people killed, one in five fired shots of their own at officers before being killed.
"In addition to those killed after opening fire, 160 people were accused of refusing commands to drop a weapon. Another 157 were said to have pointed or levelled a gun at officers. Police alleged that 158 people killed had “charged”, advanced at or fought with officers. And while 79 people were killed after allegedly “reaching for their waistband” or grabbing for a weapon, 44 attacked officers, some with knives and blades.
“It would appear that police officers are often confronting people who are armed, non-compliant and threatening,” said David Klinger an associate professor of criminology at the University of Missouri-St Louis
