Coffeeshop Smokey used to be one of the few places in Amsterdam where you could drink a schooner of Amstel Light AND smerk some weed.

Hear, hear! (Or maybe that should be "Here! Here!")

I don't get how they propose to finesse the indoor smoking rules. Hookah bars and cigar lounges couldn't, right?

Hell, you can't even vape in a public park!

My opinion is to move incrementally. Parity with the alcohol industry would be nice. I suggest that take a way sales and tasting rooms at producer / processor sites would be a wonderful introduction to increasing purchase points and introducing folks to consumption in public.

It hasn't been a real thrill in some communities seeing how at best inept, at worst criminal, local government has been in this county when it comes to marijuana regulations ...

A major flaw with this idea is that it is a class C felony to share marijuana in this state, even legally purchased 502 marijuana, Pass a joint, pass a bong, and you are committing a felony.
It won't be enough to legalize clubs, the Legislature would also need to make it legal to share -unless clubs intend to monitor everyone there to make sure that people aren't sharing smokes.

"the state’s legacy medical marijuana businesses were integrated into the new recreational system, creating a seamless, unitary system that provides all responsible Washington State adults access to marijuana, regardless of whether they need it for medicinal purposes or consume it for recreation. "

Really? Because it sure seems like a lot of medical patients got screwed... You can't find anywhere near the number of CBD heavy products that you used to be able to. Even when they are available they cost 5x what they did a year ago..

The WA state system really represents the worst possible example of legalization.

Please wait...
