I lived in Lake City for about three years; unless you have an actual lake view it's probably the most uncool neighborhood in town, with the possible exception of Broadmoor. Hell, I'd take Northgate or Roxhill over Lake City any day.

Sorry that Lake City isn't properly sanitized for your corporate hipster needs. Ballard certainly has been sanitized to death so that would seem to be a safe space..spot for you.

I'd point out one of the things that makes a city a city is having the dirty nasty underbelly among all the nice clean shiny and "cool" places. That's called urban living, you know the thing that The Stranger is going on about how much we need in Seattle. And Lake City is part of the other side of the urban landscape.

I lived in Lake City for 2 years. There's a lot going on in Lake City that people don't know about and LC has a certain reputation. What would that reputation be?

Scary because white people aren't the majority there. Poor, other than white people are. And this dumbass hipster went on and on about how Ballard is her deal. Ballard is full of white, urban professionals who make a ton of money. It's what Cap Hill is becoming without the fucking hill.

As a non-white urban professional it pisses me off the Seattle is attracting people like her dumb, possibly racist ass. It's inevitable. I'm sorry Lake City wasn't full of sanitized white brunch spots but I'm sure you'll be very happy in fucking Ballard. Thanks for coming here and ruining this place a little more.
