@2: announce your candidacy. show us how it's done. austerity & bootstraps for all!
4
She would be an excellent Councilmember -- both principled and practical.
5
She just officially notified KCLC.
6
I don't know anything about her but "Latina renter" sounds way too SJW for me.
I agree we have to stand strong against Trump et al but it's gonna make it tougher to win if the SJWs go crazy.

@7
Let the alt-right neo-Nazis fight the identity politics SJWs
To their ultimate demise

This is great news because if Ms Mosqueda wins Seattle workers will have a strong leader on the council!

I've had the opportunity to witness Ms Mosqueda at work during several Washington State Labor Commission conventions and have come to respect her greatly. She is knowledgeable about labor issues, an articulate communicator, and an energetic activist and organizer.

Is it possible to get beyond the arbitrary labeling? SJW...really? I think it's time to discuss candidates based on what they want to do, what they want to accomplish. Leave the labels aside, at least for a while?
12
A renter? Seriously? You run fringe candidates like that, you're going to get your ass handed to you. Nuff said.
13
Whew, a credible challenger against Grant. Now we just need one more so he doesn't end up getting past the primary and getting a fluke win in the general.
15
It's odd how Slog comments sound more like the Times every day...
16
@14... I assure you nobody is from Spain. You display your ignorance and xenophobia for all to see.
17
Slog is lousy with nazis in their "alt-right" disguise. Moderate these comments, guys. This is gross.
18
@17
What's your problem?
Continuation of liberal identity politics reinforces Trumpism.
19
@15 Maybe when their page limit is reached at the Times they come over here to rant?

And/or most Stranger fans have a life? (God, I know I hate myself every time I dive back into comments and commenting.)
20
Nothing about housing, nothing about transportation..what's missing here is more telling about Mosqueda than what it says about her.

@17: Which comments on this thread do you believe violate the site's policies? You can just use the report feature, I am pretty sure that what it is there for.

@22: bagshaw & burgess don't meet your criteria?
