Rick & Ana,
Here's an interesting dissenting take on these Women's Marches by Katie Hopkins of the Daily Mail:

Glad you interviewed at least one Trump supporter.

@2

from the headline: "possessing a vagina is a matter of biology, not a political argument"

It becomes a political argument when people start politicking with concern specifically for what women can and can't do with their own biology. This dissent is garbage.

"Rhamona Rhapsody at yesterday's Womxn's March, which appears to have been the largest protest in Seattle history." I wasn't aware that this was a protest. What were the women protesting?

@5:

That's rather the point: women have cleavage, breasts, and vaginas, and nobody gets to dic(k)tate what they do with them...

@6
So what do you have to say about this woman and her reasons on why men should not have a birth control pill of their own?

And before you say it: Yes, I KNOW MOST FEMINISTS DO NOT SHARE THIS OPINION! I'm just checking you for consistency

I am impressed. The Stranger asked that Trump supporter questions and just published his picture and answers and that was that. Do I agree with that guy? NO. However, it's nice to see they are showing the other side of an argument for a change without just saying "this evil white male cis straight Republican scum!"
Good for you.

Very good point. I mean, what is their issue? Back in the day when we had real progressives they would march for a purpose, like the passage of the Civil Rights act, Woman's suffrage, against overturning Roe vs Wade etc.
This was less of a protest then it was a temper tantrum against Trump. Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of the oange numbskull either, but this is getting absurd. Just wait for him to do something before you protest and then, make the protest about real issues.
But then again, judging from the name of this event, I think they may have been protesting the English language. I can hear their chants now:
"Down with Spelling!"
"What do we want? NO SPELL CHECKS! When do we want it? NOW"
"This is what dyslexia looks like! This is what dyslexia looks like!"
10
@9 It's a strategic show of unity and power, not a temper tantrum.

We were walking in the opposite direction on 3rd behind two black women and a child. Elderly white woman walking in the other direction yells, "white lives matter too!".
12
thank you Collectivism Sucks for bringing a bit of thought and integrity to an otherwise deplorable and ugly webforum.
13
anyone who yells "XXXXX lives matter" as a response to BLM is only advertising their complete ignorance or denial of the entire problem. Maybe it's harder to understand way up here where people weren't terrible enough to create a statewide history of lynching and Jim Crow laws like the deplorable southern states (who have now blessed subsequent generations with enfeebling levels of religiousity and absolute health disasters from their food "culture" of frying and sugaring everything with pride)

Record numbers protesting? Not bad for the first day in office! Eat your heart out, troll.

Please wait...
