"Basket of deplorables". Get rid of that fucking $hirt$ ad!
2
You're going to get SO TIRED of losing folks!

Big league!
3
@2: America loses because now a majority of African Americans are scared shitless, as well as other minorities. It also means that law enforcement will have greater difficulty getting information and solving crimes because of the erosion of trust. Unlike Robert Byrd, former Klansman and Democratic Senate Majority Leader decades ago, Sessions cannot escape his hardened reputation even though he may have become more refined and nuanced over the years.

Leopard can't change his spots.

Ugh, why are bigots always so ugly! And why are their complexion so weirdly colored! It's like the Orange Thing is trying to make sure his people are as ugg as he is! Look at Bannon, he always look like he's had too much to drink! It's amazing that these people managed to find women willing to marry them!

@5 GermanSausage: Agreed. That's why Sessions, along with DeVros, Trumpzilla, and all its equally unqualified Cabinet of Repulsives should be impeached. All are horribly unfit to serve.
Sue Sessions and Trumpzilla's ad nauseum's filthy asses, ACLU! The more bloody Repig carnage that ensues, the better.

@6 iseult: I know, right? These swamp creatures really should be castrated.
9
Raindrop, your knee-jerk reflex to try and find some way to defend/excuse/deny/minimize the Republican Party's decent into insanity is truly impressive.
10
@9: Oh really now? To what extent do you think that "cannot escape his hardened reputation" translates to "defends/excuses/denies/minimizes"?

I trust that you don't want to be be too hard on our beloved and esteemed senior senator from the great State of Alabama?

Was there ever any doubt that Sessions would be confirmed? Man, the congressional Republicans who were so "anyone but Trump" before the election have their tongues so far up the President's rear that they can taste his gall bladder. It's not about love of country anymore. It's about power and keeping it;

One would think that after Hillary women would get a clue. If Warren had used her brain and diplomacy instead of a 40 year old letter from a dead woman to attack a a fellow collegue, she may have made it. But she didnt, she used her "I-am-woman-hear-me-roar-all-men-are-bad-and-never-change" attitude and was prompty shut down, thankfully. She couldnt change her attitude, use her own common sense and knowledge and instead she had to pull in a dead woman and attack that way because none of her female collegues would get on board, including the honorables Cantwell and Murray of Washington State - where were they? This leads me to conclude that this was just shameless political pandering in an effort to score points with the party for a 2020 run. If Trump pulls off stabilizing the middle class - as he is doing - and brings international credibility back to this country again - as he is doing, then the Democratic party will need someone a hell of a lot better than some whinny misandrist woman who will go so far as to use the relatively recent dead to get her point across to be the nominee or you'll just have a repeat of last year In 2020.

@12 Ted Cruz has been showboating for years. But I guess its ok because its not misandry?
14
Oh but wait....maybe he's not so bad now...

Another example on the importance of education. Parents, don't let your kids end up like Seatlebcc.

I know my gaydar isn't great, but every picture of Sessions I see has an invisible banner headline saying "anonymous truckstop blow job."

Is it just me? It's probably just me.

Wowie Zowie, it's almost like the GOP knew that 2 senators could 'flip' and they'd still confirm him all along. Toomey or whatever said that there was never any chance of him flipping, and he was the best hope.

FWIW, I kinda agree with Jill Stein on this one - DNC senators could have traded some horses to get that their vote. Instead they held the floor and hoped a bunch of phone calls and letters from civilians with absolutely nothing to offer (certainly not a vote!) would carry the day.

As an African American originally from the South, I'm worried out of my ass.

1. He definitely won't go after police departments for civil rights violations.

2. He'll make "Stop and Frisk" a national law or a national mandate for PDs across the country regardless if states or local municipalities ban it.

3. He'll use federal laws to go after the state-legal cannabis shops in WA, CA, OR, AK, MA, and NV and the medicinal cannabis states.

4. Combine #3 with his racism and he'll probably target POC who either produce, sell, or use state-legal cannabis, while being light with others.

5. I can see him turning a blinds eye to voter-intimidation of POC in purple states to benefit the Republicans

@19 - Yep. And his enhanced institutionalization of PD racism will be haunting this country for decades.
fuck fuck fuck

Please wait...
