This is all great. But the most critical thing is to find a strong candidate to run against him, and to do it sooner rather than later. Don't blow it again by having it be Darcy Burner or Tony Ventrella rather than somebody who has a legit shot to win.

The fact is that Reichert is notoriously dumb, and he wouldn't have any idea what you're talking about if you asked him these questions in person anyway. He just does whatever Paul Lyin tells him to do.

Yes, finding a credible challenger who can bounce his phony, free-loading ass out of office has to be priority numero uno.

I lived in Issaquah for ten years and had absolutely no idea that Reichert had an office there. Apparently he moved there in 2012, two years before I moved away. I wish I'd known that, I'd have been so annoying he'd have had to get a restraining order against me.

Reichert pays not attention to all the farms, dairies and associated enterprises in the Enumclaw area being driven out of business because of over-regulation by the county, state and federal governments.
5
It's almost as if you can and should vote against him?
6
@4: can you describe this "over-regulation"? what, specifically, is being required that is unreasonable?

how would a US Rep have a say in county and state regs?

@2 Original Andrew: We need to oust Doug "Double-Dipper" Ericksen, R-Ferndale, out of the 42nd District as well. As Republican Obstructionist #1, he's the reason why so little gets accomplished in Olympia during legislative sessions, and as Trumpzilla's right hand dick sucker and self-appointed "Campaign Manager", thinks he can be two or more places at once. Reichert and Ericksen are both notoriously dumb, corrupted by dirty money, and total cowards in hiding on taxpayers' dollars. The sooner they're replaced, the better.

I didn't vote for Trump and I'm not necessarily a Reichert supporter, but I understand why he is reluctant to meet in public right now. It seems that too many of the people attending these recent town meetings want nothing more than to shout down the politicians. Politics aside, their conduct is childish and accomplishes nothing. Reichert is a human being and deserves to be treated like one. If you don't like him, vote him out of office. I voted. I wonder how many of you did? It is about time adults around here start acting like adults instead of screaming like children.

#9, that's no excuse. Constituents are constituents and you don't have to like them all, but if you're an elected, you should damn well be willing to listen to them. OR don't run for office. Even if he were to say "You're not going to like this but..." it's showing respect to the voters and they would respect him for it. Now he's seen as a coward and will catch more hell than if he explained his positions and reasoning. Then again, it's hard to explain away the fact that you have no core principles and are going along with Trump to get along. He's going to find out he's not really getting along very well by running away.

I used to think he was a moderate but not anymore.

Reichart, a former Sheriff, is a coward for not holding town hall meetings. In sharp contrast, here is a quote from Gabby Giffords:

"I was shot on a Saturday morning. By Monday morning my offices were open to the public," Giffords said in a statement Thursday. "Ron Barber — at my side that Saturday, who was shot multiple times, then elected to Congress in my stead — held town halls. It's what the people deserve in a representative."

Your article mentioned nearly 100 people marching by Reichert's offices in Issaquah. It was well over 1,000 people.
