I took last place in my company's NCAA bracket contest and won the Mr. Congeniality prize of five bucks. So there's that.

Tarheels fans must be excited after this game.

Now they can focus on the Warriors or Cavaliers, Yankees, and the Cowboys when football season starts.

I don't now where you got the idea that male athletes showing emotion and crying after a loss (or win) is anything new. NFL players cry. NBA players cry. WNBA players cry. Olympic athletes cry and many college athletes cry regardless of their gender. I was with you until the first sentence of the last paragraph, which I read over and over again to make sure I was reading it correctly.

Crappy game play and poor officiating ruined this game for me. UNC is not quite the powerhouse team media made them out to be and was exposed in its final four games. Imho, it was poor strategy by Few, or at least execution by his players, to not get early fouls on UNC's bigs and give them bench time. Zags rarely drove to the basket, settling for feeding the ball to their own bigs or perimeter shots. Sadly, too many missed inside shots and turnovers doomed the Zag's. This game was essentially decided in the last minute by better play from UNC during that final 60 seconds.

All that said, I'm sorry I even watched the game in light of learning about the NCAA reversing course on its NC ban, falling for the fake HB2 repeal. You can read the board of governors' ridiculous statement, and hence its faulty reasoning on their official site, ncaa.org, under media-center.

The clear bias of the network broadcast team turned me from casual observer to (temporary) staunch Zags fan. Tarheels' dads taught them well, whereas that angry fat Pollack looks like someone shoved him out of the buffet line.

I know we're in the provinces out here, but I'm really sick of that crap.

Please wait...
