In my 60s, over 30 years since I left New York City, I still found some relevence to my life as a woman in Girls -- including the silly, destructive and profound.

American Bitch struck a nerve. I've rarely seen anything as accurate, astounding and heartbreaking on film, on an issue women deal with lifelong.

(Yes, still, at 67.)

And that's saying something about Girls.

Loved the intimacy - the nudity, the bathrooms scenes, etc - between these four women even if they ultimately were dysfunctional friendships.

Anything with Allison in it is OK by us.....
