Great track by PJ Harvey, and a great cause. This might be a stupid question, but where do you purchase the track? The only info I can seem to find is that is is "available digitally on June 9th." If there's a link available (preferably not iTunes, and definitely not Amazon), it would be nice to add that to the post, so people can buy it and support the cause.

Also just wanted to say to Dave Segal that I really appreciate your writing. You are the main reason I still read 'the Stranger.'

I'm sure they're all lovely, but we really need to discuss the use of the word "new" when a 50-something rock critic does a batch of capsule reviews and headlines the records from artists that did their best work more than 25 years ago.

"New" means that the songs have come out very recently. Nothing difficult to comprehend about that.
I'm not just a rock critic; I write about a lot of different styles of music. Not sure what my age has to do with anything.
The point is, PJ Harvey and Tricky are STILL making interesting music, even if these new tracks aren't as great as their early work. That's worth noting.

@1 I'm looking into how to purchase that PJ Harvey/Ramy Essam track.

Please wait...
