well, shit. better call off the project until more fucking seagulls are fledged.
2
My first concern was the wig shop. My absolute last concern is the seagulls.
3
Murder the flying shithouses and feed their eggs to the sewer rats.
4
What is the moon doing to the north of the building in the artist's representation? creepy.
5
Yes, definitely the wig shop! In the 80s I bought my first Joy Division record at Time Travelers/Acme Records, and used to shop at the Army-Navy store there. The bus out to Issaquah used to stop right in front. My mother feared for my safety but I was oblivious.

I used to shop at the Army-Navy store before we stole the Rocket to put it in Fremont

@4: waning?

Just poured a little out for Scariyaki...

Mrs Fnarf, I used to sell popcorn at the corner of 4th and Union, and for awhile caught the bus in front of the former JC Penney's (which at one time was the Word's Largest Penney's!). Mother Vel--DuRay was equally horrified, but I loved it. So seedy and sinister. We just don't have much of that anymore.

Wasn't a lot of Streetwise filmed in front of that Penneys? I also liked to go to the donut shop on 1st and Pike, unaware of its reputation.

@10 yes indeed.

From 1989 until 2002 the Eitel was home to Street Outreach Services and from1997 until about 2007-8 also housed a syringe exchange. The interior was gorgeous at one time. Mahogany flooring and a wonderful staircase. The view from the top is awesome.

I used to like to go into the diviest scariest bars (Spin's Friendly Tavern, anyone?) and have a few beers, which was probably not the wisest use of my time. I was in the 6-11 (a very sinister gay bar) once when they threw a woman out and she screamed that she was going home to get her gun and would come back to kill all of us. Needless to say, she didn't do it it. I think she probably passed out.

The first few comments sound like republican infiltration. Truth is every region has its "flying rat". Whether it's pigeons seagulls crows jays pelicans or magpies, there are areas and seasons of congregation. You happen to live in one. Realistically the migratory bird act is very important. Migratory birds have multiple eco systems in which they play a roll. If the migratory bird act were ever scrapped I'd fear very much for our planet (as if I'm not already)

You've found me out. After 6,197 posts and eight years (and the years before we had log-ins) I've been outed as a Republican because I don't care about the specific seagulls on a specific building.

Wow, Will in Seattle has almost 30,000 comments. Probably 29,000 of them were about the Tunnel.

Please wait...
