I agree. I was fortunate enough to see the exhibit in DC, took selfies, and later regretted it. The time passes so quickly that in hindsight, I should have just gawked, if one can gawk in 20 seconds. I've been advising friends to seriously consider gazing without digitizing.
Yeah. Also if you're in a room with a random person, maybe it's really not a good idea to take selfies. I went alone to the exhibit and was asked to step into In Aftermath of Obliteration of Eternity with a couple. The woman mentioned to me that I would be in their photos, I kind of shrugged it off thinking she'd snap one. Nope, she went ahead and snapped at least 10 with her iPhone with the flash on. At one point she asked if it was bothering me and I said out loud what I was repeating to myself internally which was "at least I get to come back because I was smart and got two tickets" She got told by staff not to take pictures with flash again, but you know seeing it and hearing that everywhere upon entrance wasn't enough so who knows if she continued to ruin other people's experiences.
