American Mary was closed a couple of months ago for one weekend due to displaying an ad that had a partial image of the side profile of a child on a poster as parents, also in the poster, were discussing buying a joint.

FYI, Facebook doesn't allow pages for legal Washington state businesses either. I know, my wife and I own OZ. in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, and after they suspended our page, when we appealed, they deleted it with no response. I ended up networking through friends of friends and got put in touch with senior management at Facebook who affirmed to me that they do not allow Facebook pages for marijuana stores, even in places where those sorts of entities are legal.

I suppose they might have changed policies or will change policies, as California has legalized recreational marijuana, but perhaps not. (Facebook is a Delaware corporation, with headquarters in California.)

And start protecting Muslims and black children, instead of white men, from hate speech.

Dan, you're spreading fake news. Facebook's rules are color blind, as they should be. For example, black men and muslims are both protected categories, but white children are not and white extremists are not (it has to do with the specificity of the target). The algorithms may not be perfect, but they aren't racist.

"The battle continues to rage as the DEA holds firm on their stance of labeling CBD and other marijuana plant-derived products like hemp seed butter as “marijuana extracts”—relegating them to a Schedule 1 substance classification. While this doesn’t mean that CBD is illegal, it does mean a whole lot of uncertainty for the future of the CBD industry in the US."

Well no.... Hemp seed butter is not Schedule I Hemp IS excluded, UNLESS it is an extraction of cannabinoid resin from hemp, which is an exception to the exclusion. That is in the original wording of the CSA... Intent and all that noise, eh? Tricky, but most surely the law. ... And it certainly DOES mean CBD is illegal and always has been illegal.... Not your best paragraph of the week.

Please wait...
