According to a laminated sign posted on the window this morning, the Stumptown on Pine Street will close on August 20.

"Our lease has expired and we've made the painful, yet considered decision to focus our efforts on our 12th Street cafe and our operations within the Seattle Market," the sign reads.

A Stumptown barista who asked to remain anonymous told me all employees at that location will be laid off and that none of them will be transferred to different stores, but they are getting severance. That person also claimed that the crew only learned all of this information yesterday.

I left a message with a representative from Stumptown and will update this post when I hear back.
