No poppy seed bun?

Not a Chicago dog, sorry.
3
Cream cheese on a hot dog sounds gross.

Shake Shack dogs are quite good - burgers, meh. I think that Chi Dog looks amazing albeit no poppy seed bun! NOW if In-N-Out opened here, that would be delightful for burger lovers...they have maintained a high quality, non-hyped product(s) for decades plus they are always super clean. Lastly, fuck cream cheese on a dog and no ketchup.

Eat your hot dogs any way you like, don't look down on others if they have different preferences.
6
Now if we could only get a Montreal style smoked meat restaurant round these parts, e.g., Miles End in NYC.

Tobias, Dan, and the Stranger crew: Your enthusiasm for Shake Shack does not square with your supposed concern about global warming. It's old news, but let me remind you: Meaty diets (and car culture) are killing the planet. I rarely get on the soapbox about this, but I've always respected you folks and your work. For that reason, I have to say: You can't expect people to change their minds about important liberal issues if you're wearing blinders about the BIGGEST ISSUE OF OUR SPECIES' EXISTENCE. It's just not credible. To use an old cliche, it's like arguing over the bar bill on the Titanic. Get with the program and go vegetarian!

@7 if God didn't intend for us to eat animals, then why did he make them so tasty?

@7 Hi hello I wrote about this in depth several weeks ago but that isn't going to stop you from mansplaining it to me, is it?

@1:

As I recall, at the time a lot of the fuss came from transplanted Southerners who apparently started salivating like Pavlov's dogs when the first shop was slated to open up on Aurora. The rest of us were merely curious, and once we actually had a chance to try their product - I would say many of us were decidedly unimpressed. Nostalgia: it's a weird phenomenon for sure.

@3:

I have never understood this, or why it is considered so particular to Seattle...

@7: agreed!
@8: i guess "in-depth" is a cute link or two and a full-throated endorsement of a regular meat diet, but "in moderation." Cool! By indulging this industry, we're mostly subsidizing the trump/zinke/erickson/cliven bundy ideologies associated with public lands and environmental regulations (with few exceptions). Endangered species are so EWWW anywayzzzz, cream cheese my hotdog pleazzeee!! YAYYYY

Shake Shack is pretty good. Way better than the very, very overrated In and Out burger.

Please wait...
