A coalition of nonprofits, elected officials and immigrant youth will hold an emergency rally at El Centro de la Raza at 2 p.m. to protest President Trump's plan to rescind Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, the Obama-era program protecting 800,000 undocumented immigrants from deportation.

Among those who plan to attend:

Lt. Gov. Cyrus Habib, Attorney General Bob Ferguson, Seattle City Council Member Lorena Gonzalez, OneAmerica, the Washington Dream Coalition, 21 Progress, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, Muslim Association of Puget Sound and the Seattle Chamber of Commerce

Ana Sofia will be covering the event.

UPDATE: Governor Jay Inslee announced he will not be attending the rally, due to wildfires. This post has been modified to reflect that Lt. Gov. Cyrus Habib will attend instead.
