Climate change is causing hurricanes -- is what Rush calls a hoax, he didn't say the hurricanes themselves are a hoax. He's not being hypocritical by fleeing what he sees as a regular monster hurricane.

But I understand how the extrapolation and contortion was just too tempting.
2
@1, exactly. i find myself defending people i can't stand just because the liberal left has gotten so absurd with its accusations.
3
Oh, come on. The assertion isn't that climate change is *causing* hurricanes, it's that the fear is they're being made stronger, and more frequent. That, coupled with our effect on local environments like paving every square foot of Houston or removing wetlands between the ocean and cities only exacerbates the effects of man-made disasters during these supposedly once-in-a-lifetime storms.

@1, @2 should have a contest to see who's the biggest dumbass. Maybe they could dial in to rush's show.

People panic and clear out the grocery store around here when they are calling for six inches of snow, despite year after year of 12 inch and more snowfalls being cleaned from the roads in a day or two.

Doubt they need fake hurricane hype to go ahead and panic. This may be the most useless sentence ever written, but Rush Limbaugh is a burlap sack full of trash.

These guys are all just playing characters for cash anyway. Alex Jones, Glenn Beck, Limbaugh...they don't believe the shit they peddle anymore than Alex Jones drinks his trademarked bone juices.

@1,

No, he IS being a hypocrite. He said the liberal media is scaring people into thinking the hurricane is going to be more dangerous than it really will be:
"All you need is to create the fear and panic accompanied by talk that climate change is causing hurricanes to become more frequent, and bigger, and more dangerous, and you create the panic, and it’s mission accomplished, agenda advanced."

So he's telling his listeners they're being lied to by the media. That the hurricane won't be as big and dangerous as the media says. So why's he leaving then? Surely he can weather a small and non-dangerous hurricane along with his listeners, yes?

Anyone that listens to Ru$h Limpdick or follows his "advice" deserves to die anyway, so who cares whether they evacuate or not.
9
@7: I suppose from that angle, but It really doesn't matter how you parse it.
10
@4: Actually, I already have years ago. Gave up though before I got through.
11
@7: This.

Boycott Rush Limbaugh's radio show.

Please wait...
