Flamboyant glam-rock group The Gods Themselves have scored a real coup: They'll be appearing in an episode of the CNN travel series Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, which will focus on Seattle (air date is November 19), among seven other cities worldwide, in its upcoming season.

Earlier this year, vocalist/guitarist Astra Elane received an e-mail from the show's production staff expressing how much they liked The Gods Themselves. Although she admits she'd never watched an entire episode of Parts Unknown, she knew it was popular. As you can imagine, Astra Elane graciously accepted the invitation to appear on the program and a month later she and TGT baritone guitarist/vocalist Dustin Patterson were enjoying lunch with Bourdain at The Pacific Inn Pub. The forthcoming episode will also include footage of The Gods Themselves performing their provocative anti-gentrification song "Tech Boys" at Capitol Hill Block Party.

In other TGT news, they'll be releasing a new single in October and an EP in early February.
