John Grant has shown that he will fight for the unsheltered...

The unsheltered do not need someone to "fight" for them. The unsheltered need homes.

Interesting turn of phrase. Will he use nightsticks?

John Grant is the candidate for most of us.

Jon Grant is a fine person and a strong advocate for housing justice. I have no doubt he would make an outstanding council member and I would gladly vote for him IF there weren't a comparably progressive woman of color running for the same seat. In this benighted age of pussy-grabber presidents, gender and race have to be top considerations when comparing candidates of similar ideology and policy goals. I strongly urge the Stranger (and the Weekly) to reconsider their primary endorsement in this race.
