@20 - Of course the difference is, when a group has been overtly subjugated for nearly 400 years, --or longer in the case of, say, women--, then stating that you are sick and tired of being blindly mistreated as a member of an entire "identity" (effectively formed and created by an oppressor group), then there is legitimate claim to those issues, and reasonable demand that the B.S. stop.

White men have not, as a group or identity, ever been oppressed in this country. Oh sure, the lower & working classes have been overtly oppressed, and that has included white men. But white men don't walk around and get spit on, get the stink eye for no reason, or get lame-ass catcalls, only to be called "Bitch!" when the don't respond as expected. These "I.E." pansies wouldn't last a month as a woman in this society.

So it's specific to white men claiming victim status ("our last chance!" "white genocide!" "omg!") that rings absolutely false.

Now if these white guys were focusing on the real issues of economic inequality, focusing on how corporate power has completely infiltrated & corrupted our government (ahem, "Trump Inc."), and realized that the moneyed powers-that-be are TOTALLY HAPPY to have us all fighting each other... then we might actually see some real traction.

But no, these "alt-white" types are complete tools of the system. Focusing on their precious white "identity", and ignoring the actual problems, while fundamentally doing the bidding of the rich & powerful.

What I don't get about the "you will not replace us" thing is, well, the world is getting browner - it's just a simple fact, so yes, in fact, white people are going to start to be the minority in the future ie they are indeed going to be "replaced". It's already begun. You can't argument with demographics. Well, you *can* argue all you want, but the future is not white, whether these snowflake men-children realize it, or want it, or not.

Just need to point out that what women deal with is so much worse than getting catcalled. Men don't get raped anywhere near to the degree that women do, nor are they paid less for the exact same work a woman does, nor do their intimate partners stalk them, and physically assault and eventually murder them at the rate that men beat and murder women, to the tune of 1600 women a year being murdered in the US alone - 94% of the murders commited by men the women knew, ie their former or present intimate partners. Think about that. You think Vegas was a sickening tragedy? Women in this country deal with the equivalent of many Vegas's worth of violence, mayhem and death every year. Why isn't this a campaign issue? Why is this not something discussed and fretted over during every single presidential debate, and discussed nightly on CNN? Why isn't Ken Burns doing a fucking week long documentary about the seemingly endless and ongoing massacre of women? Can anyone explain that?

The routine violence and subjugation and discrimination women deal with the world over - the treatment of us as the equivalent of cattle in fundamentalist religious countries, the "honor killings", the permanently disfiguring acid-in-the-face events, and human trafficking/sexual slavery that women and girls endure, the world over, the forcible cutting out of our sex organs when we are children for fuck sake, to somehow make us "marriageable" - and the child marriages - girls well under 18 being married to men their grandfather's ages. In 2017 this unthinkably barbaric shit is happening!

So for (presumably) straight white men to pretend they are somehow victims, when you consider what women and girls of all colors and nationalities endure on a daily fucking basis, is beyond pathetic.
