Attempted murder?

Happening all over the city.

There's a corner near my house that collects lots of signs. When the whole city was blanketed the conservative slate's signs last month, it got the full set of 4. Later, someone else added for Jimmy Matta was added. Less than a week later, someone drove over the whole set; all 5 wooden stakes broken off at the ground. The very next day, replacements were placed for the 4 conservative candidates, but Matta's has yet to be replaced.

Also highly amused that the candidates who call themselves "law and order" have placed the vast majority of their signs illegally in the public right-of-way.

Those signs are such an eyesore, should be illegal.

A sad case -- but hardly an unusual case -- of political sentiment run amok. The sort of thing that shouldn't happen, but invariably does.

But not anywhere near as sad as The Stranger's treatment of Durkan in the mayoral race.

A well placed boulder, or a few cinder blocks in between a couple of those signs might work wonders.

The part that McNair left out is that his wife contacted the four "Burien Proud, Burien First" (no joke)/Rule of Law/conservative candidates to tell them what happened.

Not a single one responded with even the flimsiest of "Whoa, sorry, dude" replies... but, instead, local beauty salon owner, Darla Green, dubs it all "faux outrage" (https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?s…) and then makes the event all about her/her victimization at that evening's candidate forum.

... and all four mini-Trumps have yet to do a damn thing about it.

We have Brownstone back for another installment of "Extremism is Burien!!!" It's as if someone is paying her to come up with this shit. As was the case in her earlier piece about what's "going on" in B-Town, this is merely another (lame) attempt to paint Burien as some sort of hate-filled Trumpesque Neo-Nazi utopia. This couldn't be further from the truth.

Burien politics has been dominated by Democratic politicians for years. What has changed, is the delibertate strategy by the KC Democrats and specifically the 34th District Dems to infiltrate Burien politics to an extreme level with outsiders. Two or three of the uber progerssives that KC Dems and the 34th Dems has running in the Burien council election only recently moved to the city. There is likely less than 10 years combined residency amongst all of them.

The "other" group of candidates are long-standing city residents with various political leanings.

Good gravy...Brownstone clearly is in close league with the string pullers....wow.

@10: Burien is part of the 34th Legislative District and all four of the progressive Council candidates live in Burien, so I'm not sure who you're calling an outsider. Your city is changing and the new residents want a voice too. Get used to it.

The King County Democrats and the 34th District Democrats have always been active in Burien election campaigns. That hasn't changed one damn bit.

#17. Yeah, the Stranger's hypocritical left leaning propaganda pieces, like this one, (and the left's hypocrisy in general) is why people are leaving the leftist, fascist cult in droves. Of course, lefties love their "victim" status, and won't let you forget it. But for one instance of a Trump supporter vandalising signs and property there are dozens, if not hundreds, of the lefties doing the same acts of vandalism to Trump supporters' property. As well as their own property and then blaming it in Trump supporters, but eventually getting caught and admiting to it. So, nope, not feeling sorry for the "poor", "PEACEFUL" (BWAHAHAHAHA), "victims". Time to have them sample a taste of their own medicine.

Mowed down sign for Liberal Candidates? Are they claming they are Liberals to give them a better chance to win? because they know being democrats and 33rd and 34th democrats have made large contribution's to all 4. Try Democrats

The picture has 2 faint tracks- if the car PLOWED the signs 3 TIMES, there would be tire marks every where

The metel stands are perfectly straight but he claims he unbent them..twice

If the car PLOWED into the signs, why is there no dirt/tire marks? The driver was able to control his car just to bend the signs but not touch them... 3 times

He said the car went over the median and into his yard... There is no median on his street! He lives across the street from a private school. No street around a school would have a median!

Now I question why the police couldn't figure out this lie
