A lot of those holds only become holds because the QB has left the pocket and the defender is now trying to get to the opposite side of the blocker to run him down. It makes a low-key hold (which almost every lineman does on each play) into a very obvious one the refs have to call. A mobile QB is both a blessing and a curse for an O-lineman.
