Lets see how well they will handle the crime rate.

@6 - They'll handle it about as well as other low-to-medium income communities in the region, with the added bonus of not antagonizing their community in the process.

Any more stupid brain farts you think we should all know?

Ah yes, nothing more satisfying than seeing the right wing nut MAGA crowd fall flat on their faces as small town America reminds them that they're just a disgruntled, scared, isolationist minority whose views aren't the majority opinion.

Just a hint, right wing nuts, to your ancestors as well as mine, America was and is a sanctuary country and it always will be.

This is great, but Burien still suffers from about 45% of citizens who are at best complicit with assholes. :-/
10
@9 ~17% of registered voters (~45% of 38% turnout), which is near the average rightwing score in local elections

In any case, hate's been rejected in another part of "the Real America".

Pramila Jayapal has a better than average record of not missing votes. From Jan 2017 to Nov 2017, Jayapal missed 2 of 622 roll call votes, which is 0.3%. This is better than the median of 2.3% among the lifetime records of representatives currently serving.

What ya bet. New taxes!
15
#13 The poor and working class get tired of paying for the bills with a huge percent of their inadequate incomes. So shove it.

Better shrug off the shackles of corporate/Trumpfyesque groupthink soon, Repressives -- it's YOU they're a'comin' after next....

And Dems, take note: moving ever further 'rightward' ain't gonna help atall.
17
@15, They will be subject to the new taxes too. Did you just fall off the Turnip Wagon?
18
@27 - Do you believe that the Burien Nazi Party folks wouldn't raise taxes and are thereforepreferable to the slate of candidates who actually represent their neighbors?
19
#17: taxes are not worse than everything else in the universe. Keeping them low is not worth turning an entire city over to bigots.
