DJing philosophy: "If you can't spin an all vinyl set for at least an hour while blending the drums and mixing on each transition, you are not a real DJ! Hey, DJ Yung Noob and DJ Ol' Noob: The best advice I can give you is learn to mix with vinyl first! I know it's easier to hit a sync button or whatever, but if you stay home and practice, you will get better. If you stick with it, the future you will be grateful you know how to blend records with ease. Plus, don't forget a DJ needs to have a record collection. Break your back carrying your crates and gear around for a few years. After that you can get that spiffy plastic DJ controller thing if you're feeling lazy. You've earned it! You do need a crew. You can't do everything by yourself. Remember who taught you and help open doors for others. Support the artists around you and be excellent to each other."

Format: "A mix of spinning vinyl and using Serato or Traktor. Two Technic 1200s and a mixer."

Worst request: "I was spinning tunes at a house party way back years ago. I remember playing Rick James's 'Give It to Me Baby' and this dude came up requesting I play it again. I was like, okay, I could just rewind and drop the song from the beginning again, but right when I turned to him to say, 'No that'd be kinda lame, dude,' he started to slowly puke into his clear keg cup. It looked like a vegetable soup phlegm cloud hit his beer and arm. I decided to turn away until he disappeared."
