Great post and poll question. I'd have to choose the unmentioned "Volume Five of the Complete Bloom County".

Ted Crockett. I can't even. I haven't been able to even since Nov 2016. I may never be able to even again.
4
@3

I am sure you will.

Our Dear Alt-Right White Guy is participating in the latest craze among the crazies: You're ignorant and racist for pointing out something that is ignorant and racist!!! I have a dear friend from Iowa that tries that all the time. It makes me giggle because it shows what thin-skinned little wusses they are.

Alt-Right White Guy, your kind is literally dying off. Perhaps the novelty of being part of a dying breed appeals to you, but that's also why you don't have a girlfriend. Maybe you should try a new outlook on life?
8
@7 Bwahahahahahaha.

Oh, wait, you were being ironic, right?

Don't count your chickens, but. . .

Doug Jones Pulls Ahead As Moore Crowd Grows Nervous In Alabama Senate Race

That is, I won't count my chickens. But there's hardly a resounding KKK victory coming tonight even if Moore does win.
11
On a tall stack of Chuck Tingle titles. Flared at the base of course.
12
Never watch tv but fuck poor Jake Tapper looks tired.
13
@7:

Hold on, the crow souffle is almost ready to come out of the oven...
14
You know, Alt-Right White Guy, there's other ways to be That Eccentric Fellow that don't involve being a racist jerk. Maybe you could grow some unique facial hair or get some distinctive "ink". Or take up an obscure sport, or start a microbrewery or hipster tavern. Don't feel like you have to be anchored to that whole tired old white guy thing.
16
@14 May I suggest being really boring about terpenes?
17
That was painful. I watched “The Devil’s Candy” last night and cried to NPR’s coverage of something that happened five years ago driving to work this morning. Need to put the internet down for a while.

He was expressing skepticism that Muslims are even allowed, by their own religion, to swear an oath to this country as an elected official. A valid argument and concern.
Um ... No. No more a valid concern than whether a Christian, whose own book tells them to be "in the world but not of it" forbids precisely the same thing (which to some sects - including Jehovah's Witnesses and some of the more extreme Calvinists - means not voting or running for office).
To make the issue about ignorance and racism is itself ignorant and racist.
Maybe, maybe not ... but it will take a less ignorant argument than the one you've advanced to convince a literate opponent, regardless of political alignment.

I always assumed that to be successful in politics, you have to be able to think on your feet. Clearly that's not the case when your state is as deeply red as Alabama. Though it's hard to say now that he was successful in politics, since his toxic candidate lost last night.
20
I'm just loving that Alt-Right White Guy was gloating about Moore's win a whole 20 mins before all the networks, including Fox, called it for Jones.
21
@21:

Yeah, and he's been conspicuously silent ever since - one can only hope he'll stay that way.
22
Oops, meant @20...
23
@22: Nothing wrong with talking to yourself
24
Glad to see that Calvin & Hobbes has the distinct lead, you are my people!
Surprised that Gravity's Rainbow, The Doors of Perception, and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance didn't make the list.
25
Kudos to Jake Tapper for humanly putting that fool out of his misery.
26
I went back and watched this. It was pretty damn gloatable all right. Seek to about one minute before the end.
27
The Last Whole Earth Catalog?
Groening's Big Book of Hell?
Fulghum's All I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten?
28
@24: "Sacred Hoops" is p. good.

Please wait...
