Good for Roupenian indeed - get your money while you can, no one can stay viral forever.

But it should be distressing for literary industry watchers: Being controversial is clearly significantly more likely to get you paid than being good. I forsee a narrowing of literary topics into a few established channels and more avante garde writers facing an even bigger hurdle to publishability than before.

The Seattle Public Library is so very awesome! It has almost every current artist, both musical and literary, held for pick-up at the click of a button and is insanely user-friendly. For a person on a budget, it’s a dream come true because you can read literally every book published that you’re looking to find and check out (literally) pretty much every record (on cd) that’s current because the buyers are awesome and know their shit. I collect music on my computer and make playlists, shuffle new music cd’s on my stereo, and read like crazy, blessed with a library card.

“Cat Person” was a riot to watch take off and go viral...good for the author getting an unheard of book deal. I believe the story resonates on more than one level, and I hope that people will read a lot more literary fiction now that they can see how a simple story can contain a lot of truth. Laughing that my boyfriend and I agree on it being a whole lot of misreading on both characters parts, and she didn’t do his ego any good by not letting him down a little easier like a more experienced woman would’ve done.

Dudes, I’m like 50 episodes behind on my music podcasts and 3 just from the Stranger weekly one.

I don’t need more podcasts.
