What's most unbelieveable is that a RepubliKKKan got caught seXXXing an adult, human, female.

Does anyone want to share the shortest version of the story here? Preferable in Haiku form.

Here's a phone call recorded by Greitens's primary opponent without his knowledge. Does this sound like a man who might slap a woman out of anger?

He's also an abuser

@8 That's all I need to hear. Total scumbag.
@9 I really appreciate that.

I was curious about all the blackmail business that got this started but I think I've heard enough.

Note that Greitens is being investigated by the St. Louis city prosecutor, not the county prosecutor, even though both are well within their jurisdiction to do so.

Does anyone remember Bob McCollough? You know, the power-worshiping sleazebag who refused to prosecute a police officer who murdered a young black man? Doubt he would prosecute a powerful rightwing politician who physically abuses women, either.

The woman who had an affair with Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens in 2015 told her then-husband that Greitens slapped her against her will, after she told Greitens she had had sex with her husband.

Was this sentence written by autocomplete? Certainly it is difficult to believe it was written by a human with the intention that humans would comprehend it, much less on a professional basis.

@11: are you sure they both have jurisdiction? St. Louis is an "independent city," meaning it's not in a county. It's one of the few cities in the U.S. like that.

Buck is correct, the City and County of STL are very two distinct entities due to issues dating back from the Civil War and later socio-economic tensions. the Greitens' (then) home was in the City proper, but I think their legal residence is now elsewhere (besides the Governor's mansion).

Please wait...
