When guns are treated like toys etc etc etc...I'm sure glad I'm just typing this and not wasting my breath.

The nation shamelessly shrugged and forgot the 500+ victims of the Las Vegas massacre in under two weeks. Dead children aren't even a blip at this point.

The NRA--the homicidal, armed, extremist wing of the Republinazi Death Cult--can declare total victory in their mission to murder as many Americans and their children as possible.

I feel absolutely sick about this ongoing level of criminal insanity. Thoughts, prayers, and condolences to friends, family and loved ones of the deceased.
@5 Original Andrew: It's further proof of how dangerously rabid the NRA is. They need to start losing some of their own in a senseless bloody massacre before their illness will ever finally go away.

Thanks for this one Charles.
Very Well Done.

I love it!

“Fuck that!”

No one wants to hear about the five ppl who died or the fifteen maimed for life from guns or stupid drivers texting and running into an SUV w a family!
Oh god Helen! Another lecture? Yeah let’s make texting in a crosswalk a CRIME like you idiots in Hawai’i did!

Yeah I’d outlaw ALL iPhones, ALL guns, ALL bigots and racists and sexists if I could cuz I’m so fucking tired of telling families that your child is brain damaged and will never be normal or walk or see because we have FREEDOM to be stupid in America!

I’m exhausted!

Good Afternoon Charles,
First of all, may the victims RIP. My condolences to their family and friends.

I understand your ire & sarcasm. These killings are most senseless. But EVERY killing is most senseless and tragic. So are these:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/true…

Bringing in race, religion and culture (politicizing) into this tragedy this way doesn't address the actual problem, "Why is there so much gun violence in America?". It's a most baffling and horrific conundrum. Men commit most of these crimes and mass killings are virtually ALL adult (or nearly) adult males. It's just mind boggling.

Yes, we do need descriptions of the perps especially if they are still at large. Race & gender help in that search. And race, gender, religion & culture as statistics may aid in preventing future gun violence. This research may involve uncomfortable truths about race, gender, religion & culture. But if it helps prevent the next mass shooting or single homicide then it might be necessary.

Like you, I'm an adult male living and working in America. Like you, I don't possess a firearm. I'm puzzled at the ubiquity of firearms in this country especially for personal defense. I do believe at least, a cultural change is in order. But that may take decades.

Please wait...
