One thing that should be noted; strikes are announced in advance. I do not know if the announcement is required NLRB or by initial contract. There is one exception though and that is if the company is in violation of the contract; then a work stoppage can be done and technically it is a work stoppage and not a strike.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but that's exactly what they're thinking of. They're striking because their employer refuses to offer affordable health insurance that covers their families.
