Hello my fellow millennials, have you heard about something called "email?"

KING 5's Natalie Brand interviewed Caleb Heimlich, the 32-year-old new chairman of the Washington State Republican Party, and he's got some ideas for attracting young people to his party:

The party’s going to be cutting into emerging technologies: Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, email, texting. I think it's communicating with people how they communicate and obviously a lot of that goes back to smartphones. But I also think it's important to be doing that face-to-face in person with happy hours and other get-togethers of "look, come meet the youngest Republican Party chairman in the nation."

Heimlich replaced Susan "rich people should practice civil disobedience" Hutchison this year.

"The old image of the Republican Party is old men, basically," Heimlich told KING 5. "At least now we have a young man that can speak to young people moving into Seattle working at Amazon, working at Microsoft."

Sure.

Other than talking to us on Snapchat, here are a few things Republicans could actually do to win over young people: Support legalizing cannabis, push for single-payer healthcare, stop saying climate change is made up, do something about student loan debt, and quit your anti-immigrant bullshit.

Good luck, Caleb!
