Does Trump really not understand how the stock market works?

Jesus... of course he doesn't. How on Earth is anyone still supporting this guy? A supposed billionaire who doesn't even know how the stock market works. The head of a capitalist country and he doesn't really understand it.

If I follow the news correctly, the market is correcting because investors are worried about inflation resulting from growth in wages. Am I missing something or isn't that what republicans wanted with their tax plan?

@3, simplified. It'd be silly to say that investors as a class are doing anything for any single reason, but yea higher probability for more interest rate hikes seems to have lit this candle.

Yeah I know. I can't believe I am still occasionally surprised by Trump's lack of knowledge.

I mean, it's not even that complicated. I remember learning about the stock market in 4th or 5th grade or something by the class pretending to buy stocks and seeing how they do over the school year. And Trump is supposedly wealthy. And supposedly has a lot of investments in the market and I don't and I still kind of feel like I understand the stock market better than he does... jesus here I go again. Ok I'm out. Why would anyone expect a goombah whose "wealth" comes from real-estate to know anything about how the stock market works?

Hell, I'd be surprised if he even has significant stock holdings, seeing as how all his money appears to be tied up in hotels, apartment buildings, office towers, and the lower end of Putin's alimentary canal.

Time and truth are fluid and relative with this guy ... the words he says mean exactly what he means them to say, at that time, much as those who don't automatically praise and applaud Dear Fearless Leader whenever he's Fabulous are ... treasonous.
