I don't recall a similar boycott back in 1997 when the Meg Ryan / Matthew Broderick film "Addicted To Love" included an extended scene where someone intentionally poisoned their ex with strawberries, knowing full well he/she had a mortal allergy to them.
These insufferables are too chemically sensitive to subject themselves to errant whiffs of cologne or popcorn butter at the movies anyway, so a boycott seems redundant.
Self Defense!!!!

Murder?

Murder most foul, as in the best it is.
But this most foul, strange and unnatural.

What's left unaddressed here is Hollywood's anti-Scottish bias. Scots are depicted as either villains, or so hideous in appearance that only an obnoxious donkey would befriend them.
Gollywood should just cut to the chase and have a disclaimer in the beginning that states: “we are profusely sorry for any perceived offense to anyone about anything they may see in our form of media entertainment. 1% of all proceeds will go to “Saferooms for America”. Thank you and enjoy the show”. (Preceeded, of course by dancing allergens parading to the lobby “to get ourselves a treat”)
I wonder what's different in this case...?
