Even if every other factor is taken away...indecent exposure in a public place, etc....the counseling relationship that the pastor violated is still the main problem in this equation. It's an abuse of his position of power, regardless of whether they're both consenting adults.
@11 - It was implied. He's a pastor! Livin' the pastor lifestyle. There ain't no Christian kinky gay pastors... not officially.
...with God as my witness!!! ... Well I definitely believe him now. Nope.
@1 - For your perusal: Christian Domestic Dicipline. Or just type "Christian BDSM" into your favorite web search engine... So much fun to be had, believin' an' spankin'...
“But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.”
@13 it is implied, but it's far from a given. I personally am NOT on the "All Muslims Are Terrorists" bandwagon and that requires (unless you're just a hater) not being on the "All Christians Are Bigots" train as well.
@15 - nice, thank you.
@16 - Uhm, with all due respect, you took a bit of a leap there. I certainly don't believe & didn't assert that "All Christians Are Bigots". Superlative statements like that are pretty much always false. Most Christian sects do seem rather opposed to homosexuality, and the pastors of those sects are presumed to be non-gay. And even the sects that do accept homosexuality as not an affront to (their version of) God, probably don't condone their pastor doing kinky things in cars parked on public streets.
Sounds like that pastor has a "thrill of getting caught" type of fetish... which, done enough times, will almost certainly get you caught. :>)
Is Waterford Christian Church a homophobic or religious right affiliated church? I'm asking b/c being a pastor and being into kinky gay sex are not mutually exclusive, and it's only hypocrisy if the pastor or the church are bigoted.
Also I think it's more humorous to believe his story and imagine scenarios that could have put them into a legitimate "I swear, officer, this isn't what it looks like" situation.

So he denies that he did nothing - sounds like an admission to me....
And thank you, @2 UF. I needed that!
Where's the news, Dan? Usually you require an instance of anti-gay rhetoric below you forcibly out them. Didn't see that mentioned here.
