The NRA and scores of gun owners donate tons of cash to republicans. Porn producers don't (as far as I know).

Not rocket science people.

Why anyone thinks politicians give a shit about protesters or voters or morals is beyond me. They're Americans... Americans deal in cash. Period.

You want gun laws passed? You'll need to get billions upon billions donated to their campaigns. More than the pro-gun people donate. Once they've got all that cash in their pockets they'll do whatever you command them to.

Caldwell is a typical, soulless Republinazi moron. They don't feel human emotions other than greed and hate.

Why have any laws against murder at all if they don't stop murders, Professor Asshole?

Good on ya, Dan.

Hopefully this will encourage students from the school to run for office. It's the only way to get rid of these fools.

Gin up the fear, Florida. Use everyone's (Catholic>christian) shame about sex to make baseless claims about "Danger! OMG!"

..yawn...

These kids and the movement they have built in ONE WEEK is the most thrilling thing to watch. Totally pulling for them all the way.

That's odd.... I thought for sure that the state of Florida would let a bunch of "articulate" high school students dictate its legislative agenda. Huh.

*Meanwhile, in Idaho and other states' legislatures, politicians are deciding to erase real science (eg., climate change/global warming) from their respective state's science curricula in order to, and I paraphrase, “allow the students to research and analyze the science themselves.” (Gee whiz, why don’t we just give kids in in grades K-12 lists of facts and allow them to do with it what they will. We could save millions in school budget funds that would have otherwise go to science programs, teachers' salaries, etc.)

Yes, reasonable gun laws must be enacted and enforced. However, if the campaign finance laws at the congressional, state, and local levels were rewritten to strictly limit donations from PACS/lobbies and other special interest groups, and Citizens United were to be repealed, we might not have to be mourning yet another group of people murdered by someone who should never have been able to wield a weapon or risk the ignorance of science facts gleaned by children from their public school science curricula. As long as politicians have to spend the greater parts of their days shmoozing for campaign funds, they will be vulnerable to the influence that large cash donations wield.

@3 But he's wearing a remembrance ribbon so that excuses his flawed reasoning - and he really cares. I know this because he said so...
Everyone of voting age - and especially Millenials - remember these soulless greedy Republicants. VOTE THE MOFO's OUT this November. Anyone taking NRA $ should be toast...

Why can't RepubliKKKans just shoot each other and be done with it?

@12 (Insert Dick Cheney joke here)
